Vintage 80s Wellsboro, Pennsylvania Shirt

Item: Vintage 80s Wellsboro, Pennsylvania Shirt
Bought for: $1
Sold for: $5

Title: Vintage 80s Yes There Is Wellsboro Pennsylvania shirt
Description: Well, is there a Wellsboro, PA? The answer, given definitively by this shirt, is a resounding, "YES!" Should we know something about this curious city? Once again, YES!

Wellsboro, PA, estimated population of 3,328 and home to "Forest & Stream" sportswriter George W. Sears (1821-1890), is located just across the NY/PA border in Tioga County. It was named in honor of Mary Wells, wife to one of the settlers of the town, and, I'm sure, one heckuva woman.
Want more interesting Americana? Wellsboro was home to one of the first lightbulb factories in America, is the start of one end of the "Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania" (the Pine Creek Gorge), and today is home to the Wellsboro Diner, which, according to Google Reviewer Lisa D., has "the best fries". So stop on by, and tell 'em this auction sent ya.
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wellsboro,_Pennsylvania

The jersey is a Large, and fits like a large or medium. It is made by Superstars II. It is super soft and 50% Cotton, 50% Polyester. This is in great vintage condition! Thanks for looking!

Kevin Garnett Replica Jersey

Item: Kevin Garnett Jersey
Bought for: $1
Sold for: $2.99

Title: Vintage Kevin Garnett Minnesota Timberwolves jersey YXL
Description: One of the first things you'll notice about this jersey, amongst your observations that this is awesome, features the old T-Wolves jersey, and is from KG's rookie year of 1995-96, is that weird brown stain on it. I'm not really sure what it is. Maybe a witch doctor put it there. I dunno if it'll come out, and I can't try because my washer and dryer don't work because they had a spell put on them by a witch doctor. What's that, you say? Yours work? And you just bought some OxiClean in a loving tribute to the wonderfully genial Billy Mays*? And you can't wait to try it on a tough stain? Awesome! Then buy this jersey for a bunch of money!
*You are greatly missed, Mr. Mays. You were a lot of fun on "Pitchmen", especially the episode with the grass greener product when you were rolling around.

The jersey is a Youth Extra Large (18-20). It is made by Champion. This is in great condition aside from the stain. Thanks for looking!

Danny Kanell Replica Jersey

Item: Danny Kanell Giants Jersey
Bought for: $2
Sold for: $4.99

Title: Vintage Danny Kanell New York Giants jersey YL S #13
Description: Ever notice how some auctions try to get your attention and patronage by cheaply appealing to your memories? They'll often start with something like, "Hey, remember so-and-so? Well, I've got a so-and-so jersey. Remember when he lead that team he played for to the NFC Wild Card Playoff berth in 1997? And how he played for like Florida State and set a school record for TD passes and then went on to play for the Atlanta Falcons (1999-2000), the Arena League's New York Dragons (2002) and then finished his career with the Denver Broncos (2003-2004)?" And then they'll probably mention that he almost played baseball or something. Totally bush league tactics like that.
I don't cotton to that kind of chicanery. But I am selling a Danny Kanell New York Giants jersey. The specifications and pictures are listed below.

The jersey is a Youth Large (14-16). It is made by Starter. This is in excellent condition. Thanks for looking!

Vintage Western Shirt

Item: Vintage Western Shirt
Bought for: $2
Sold for: $4.99

Title: Vintage 80s Western shirt Pearl Snaps M 15 Cott Poly
Description: A few weeks back, I went on one of those emo ranch vacations you've all been reading about so much. It was great to get out on the range and rope cattle, but there was one problem: I forgot my awesome emo/punk ranch wear back home and as such, none of the cute emo girls would even talk to me! Then one night, while I was sleeping alone in my tent (again), the ghosts of Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone, some emo guy that died, and General George Custer appeared before me. They took me with them into the night and we rode bareback on some unicorns on the high plains before their spectres dissipated and I awoke back in my tent. I figured it was all a dream, but then I opened my back pack and to my amazement, it was now stuffed full of emo/punk western shirts with pearl snaps, with this being one of them! So bid high, because this shirt is special!

The shirt is a Medium 15 1/2, and fits like a medium. It is made by Saturdays in California. It is soft and 65% Combed Cotton, 35% Polyester. This is in great vintage condition! Thanks for looking!

Title: Prototype FIGURE biohazard MAP ps3 xbox 360 NEW promo
Description: I have no idea what "Prototype" is -- it could be like a new brand of gum and I wouldn't know -- but here I am, selling some stuff related to it. If you buy this, you get: the stuff in the picture. Fascinating, right?

Anyway: thanks for looking and happy bidding! Ages 4 & up and is a choking hazard!

Vintage Pittsburgh Pirates Shirt

Item: Vintage Pittsburgh Pirates Shirt
Bought for: $1.50
Sold for: $4.99

Title: Vintage 90s Pittsburgh Pirates Shirt Soft L XL
Description: The word "Pirate" is from the Greek "peirates", which means "brigand". Wikipedia defines piracy as "a war-like act committed by a non-state actor, especially robbery or criminal violence committed at sea, on water, or sometimes on shore". Bearing this in mind, I can't think of a more apt name for the baseball team from Pittsburgh than the Pirates. I mean, the names Zane Smith, Mike LaValliere, and Don Slaught are pretty much synonymous with the above descriptions. Remember how Andy Van Slyke used to swing in to CF on a chandelier? Or how Orlando Merced would use a scabbard to sheath his bat? And who could forget John Smiley bringing an 1850s Colt revolver to the mound for Game 7 of the 1991 NLCS? Is anyone still reading this? Anyway, relive the glory years of the Pirates with this shirt!

The shirt is an Extra Large and measures 19" pit-to-pit. It is 50% cotton, 50% polyester, and made by Logo 7. It is from 1991. This is in great vintage condition! Thanks for looking!

Authentic Barry Sanders Jersey

Item: Authentic Barry Sanders Jersey
Bought for: $4
Sold for: $45.50

Title: Authentic Barry Sanders Detroit Lions Jersey Reebok 52
Description: Boy oh boy, do I have the auction for you. As soon as word got out that I was selling this amazing authentic Reebok Barry Sanders jersey from the mid- or even early-1990s, I was besieged with offers of diamonds, enchanted amulets, and even the power of telepathy. But "NO!", I said, "I must offer this jersey on eBay to the highest bidder! It is my sworn duty as an American!" So please, bid high, because I could be typing this with my mind if I'd succumbed to the massive in-person offers for this jersey. I am doing this all for you.

The jersey is an Extra Large 52 and everything, and I do mean everything, is stitched on. It is made by Reebok and is 100% authentic. This is NO knockoff. This is in great condition. Thanks for looking!

Key West T-shirt

Item: Vintage Key West T-shirt
Bought for: $1
Sold for: $3.99

Title: Vintage 80s Key West Parrot Shirt XL L SOFT Cotton Poly
Description: I could feel the cool breeze nipping at the hairs on the nape of my neck. The moon hung low in the sky, almost mocking me as it illuminated the expanse of desert I had to cross with the treasure I'd just looted from an Incan temple. This was going to be one long night. Who knew a chest full of golden doubloons would be so heavy? Luckily, I had on my 50/50 Key West Parrot shirt. It's light weight kept me cool and the front of it kept sand off my sweating body. As I hauled the chest across the sand, a huge asp rose up in the wind, its little eyes full of fury. I knew the sweat on my brow would mess with its heat-vision, but oh no! The shirt! It had absorbed my body heat, but not my sweat! I was a dead man walking! The asp lowered its reptilian head, lunged, and bit me square in the shirt. I wrested the snake from my shirt and beat it to death, but the damage had been done: I now had two little holes near the neck. Drats!
Either that, or I caught the shirt on a piece of metal as I was picking it up a few days ago. Which story do you believe?

The jersey is an Extra Large, and fits like a large. It is made by Screen Stars. It is super soft and 50% Cotton, 50% Polyester. This is in great vintage condition except for the little holes near the neck! Thanks for looking!

Herschel Walker (?) Replica Jersey

Item: Herschel Walker (?) Replica Jersey
Bought for: $3
Sold for: $4.99

Title: Dallas Cowboys Jersey #34 Herschel Walker Tommie Agee S
Description: I'm not gonna lie: I don't like the Dallas Cowboys, so I'm not too sure who this jersey is. It's #34, which makes me think "Herschel Walker", but he stopped playing for them in 1989, so that leaves. . .Tommie Agee? There's no way this is a Tommie Agee jersey. Did they even make those? I'm gonna say this is a Herschel Walker jersey. This is a youth large, so if you're small, or want to clothe your child, or want to get out of your Dallas Cowboys-loving girlfriend's doghouse, this jersey is the thing for you!

The jersey is a Youth Large. The pit-to-pit measurement is 17". It is made by NFL/MacGregor. This is in excellent unworn condition. Thanks for looking!

Chauncey Billups Replica Jersey

Item: Chauncey Billups Replica Jersey
Bought for: $3
Sold for: $16

Title: Vintage Chauncey Billups Toronto Raptors jersey YL cool
Description: Do you remember when Chauncey Billups played for the Toronto Raptors? I sure don't, but Wikipedia says that indeed he did, for 29 games during his rookie campaign, the 1997-1998 season. So basically, he was on the team for like two months, 12 years ago. Wow! That's gotta make this thing worth like forty dollars, or maybe even ten thousand. I dunno, it's up to you to figure out how many millions this jersey is worth!

The jersey is a Youth Large (14-16). It is made by Champion and is in great condition! Thanks for looking!

Denver Broncos Shirt

Item: Vintage Denver Broncos Shirt
Bought for: $1
Sold for: $10.50

Title: Vintage 80s Denver Broncos Shirt Soft L XL
Description: Hey, you! Yeah, you. You think you like the Denver Broncos? You do? Well, do you own this shirt? Ha, didn't think so. You know, ESPN the Magazine says you're not a fan of the team unless you own this awesome vintage Denver Broncos shirt that's from the late 80s and features the old, better logo. I think it was in an article by Stuart Scott. Yeah, I think his shtick is a little tiresome, too. But anyway, fortune smiles upon you today, Denver Broncos fan, because this fantastic shirt can be yours. For cheap maybe!

The shirt is an Extra Large (46-48) and measures 19" pit-to-pit. It is made by Logo 7. This is in great vintage condition! Thanks for looking!

Authentic Mike Piazza Jersey

Item: Authentic Mike Piazza Jersey
Bought for: ~$3 (bought several years ago)
Sold for: $15.01

Title: Authentic Mike Piazza New York Mets Majestic Jersey
Description: The Mets are missing Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, John Maine, J.J. Putz, Oliver Perez, and Billy Wagner. The Brewers dropped them to below .500 tonight. They struggle to score runs with guys like Alex Cora and the not-yet-ready Fernando Martinez playing everyday. Bobby Parnell can't seem to go an inning without allowing like 4 baserunners because he throws the flattest fastball in the game. Even K-Rod is giving up bases loaded walks to Mariano Rivera. What's a Mets fan to do? Well, I dunno. I've been sitting in the dark, wearing a Doc Gooden jersey, and trying to remember the good times. Why don't you join me? Here, take this awesome Authentic Diamond Collection Mike Piazza jersey and let's sit together and reminisce. Also: pay me a bunch of money for it.

The jersey is a Large. Everything here is stitched on. This is the real deal, here, people. It is 100% polyester, and made by Majestic. This is in excellent, unworn condition! Thanks for looking!

A Broken Digital Camera

Item: A Broken Canon Digital Camera
Bought for: N/A, selling for Matt
Sold for: $22.50

Title: BROKEN Canon PowerShot A75 3.2 MP Digital Camera powers
Description: Up for auction here is a Canon Power Shot A75 digital camera. It is a 3.2 megapixel (MP) camera. Included with this camera are:
-a wrist lanyard
-a Lexar 256 MB memory card
-4 AA batteries

Here's the catch, though: while the camera powers up, and the screen itself works (like the date/time picture below), the screen will not display photos that you are taking, and the camera will only take black, blank photos. I am assuming this has something to do with the lens, or whatever it is that connects the lens to the screen. Or maybe it's haunted. What do I look like, a scientist?
Anyway, this could be useful for parts, for repair, for the fun of opening a camera, or maybe even just for all the fabulous perks listed above.

Shaq Replica Jersey

Item: Shaq Replica Los Angeles Lakers Jersey
Bought for: $2
Sold for: $6.91

Title: Vintage Shaquille O'Neal SHAQ LA Lakers jersey 44 Los
Description: I know what you're thinking: "There are literally 10 million of this exact jersey up for sale on eBay. What makes this one so special?". I have the answer: well, um, nothing. Except that I am the great great great grandcousin 25 times removed of American Party nominee James Walker Alexander, who finished in dead last in the 1876 US Presidential election, with an astoundingly low 459 votes in the entire country. So, as you're explaining to your relatives why you paid so much for this jersey, break off that little nugget of info and watch as their jealous jaws drop to the floor.

The jersey is a Size 44, which is pretty much the equivalent of a Medium. It is made by Champion and is in good condition! Thanks for looking!

Undercutting on Amazon

Having the lowest price on a book on Amazon is the absolute biggest factor in your chances of selling it. Condition and feedback rating are distant 2nds and 3rds in this imaginary race of selling factors I just made up. Since I get most (pretty much all) of my books for free, I'm always able to undercut the lowest price, and sometimes I do it by a significant amount. Sometimes, this leads to an undercutting war with whoever else had the lowest price before I listed (on more common books, this really isn't an issue as books will plummet to $0.01 really fast).

When I get into an undercutting war, I'll get annoyed if someone just keeps undercutting by one cent increments, so I'll just drop my price to $0.01, wait for them to re-inflate their price, and then bring mine back to just under them.

Such was the case with a recent book I was selling, but I took it one step further and actively mocked the other guy's copy (read my book comments):

Like I said in the inaugural post: this blog is boring.

Lamar Odom Replica Jersey

Item: Lamar Odom Replica Los Angeles Clippers Jersey
Bought for: $2
Sold for: $10.50

Title: Lamar Odom Los Angeles Clippers Jersey Champion 40 M
Description: So there I was: at the top of Mount Olympus; the Throne of Zeus. I'd been traveling for days, just trying to see the Thunder God to see if he could give me something to protect this year's harvest from global warming. After some time in the thin air, I came upon an enormous tabernacle that appeared to be constructed with clouds. I slowly pushed open the golden cloud doors, and there, on a throne, was Mr. God of the Sky himself, Zeus. After explaining my situation, he handed me a gilded box and said, in a booming yet soothing voice, "Go forth, ye, with this beautiful Lamar Odom Los Angeles Clippers jersey, spun with the finest threads in the land. It will watch over ye and ye's crops. And also, global warming is a myth, much like me." I'm not sure if he's really done his research, but I'll be darned if I didn't have the biggest tomatoes at this year's "Really Big Tomatoes Festival".

The jersey is a Medium and a size 40. It is made by Champion. This is in excellent condition! Thanks for looking!

Paul Pierce Replica Jersey

Item: Paul Pierce Replica Boston Celtics Jersey
Bought for: free
Sold for: $5.50

Title: Vintage Paul Pierce Jersey Boston Celtics M Medium
Description: Word on the street is that you need a new Paul Pierce jersey. Well, just call me your "supplier". That's right, this jersey has special powers. Calm down, I'm gonna tell you what they are. First thing it can do is make you fly, and I don't say that to mean "run real fast". Don this jersey and your skin will turn to feathers and you will literally be able to take off. Envy the taxonomic class Aves no more with this jersey. But wait, there's more: this jersey can give you the mythical sense of double-taste. Ever wanted to taste your food twice? Yeah, I thought so.

This jersey is a Men's Medium. It is made by Reebok. This is in excellent condition!

Authentic 1993 (or 1989 or 1990 or 1991) NHL All-Star Jersey Wales Conference CCM

Item: Authentic 1993 NHL Wales Conference All-Star Jersey
Bought for: $4
Sold for: $46.99

Title: Authentic 1993 (or 1989 or 1990 or 1991) NHL All-Star Jersey Wales Conference CCM

Description
: Do you love hockey? Are you indecisive about who your favorite team is? Do you care if there are small paint stains on the end of your right sleeve? Did you used to hate the Campbell Conference? If you answered yes, yes, no, and yes, then this is the perfect auction for you! Relive the 16-6 spanking the Wales Conference handed to their lesser-talented NHL counterparts on February 6, 1993*, by buying this jersey from me for loads of money.
*source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/44th_National_Hockey_League_All-Star_Game

As mentioned above, there are some paint stains on the right sleeve, as seen below. I imagine you could get them out by picking them off, but I haven't tried because I don't want to ruin the jersey. The jersey is a Men's Large and it is made by CCM. The NHL patch is sewn-on. The back is completely blank, and you could easily have this jersey customized at any number of sites on the internet.

Edits: It has been pointed out to me by an intrepid eBay user that this jersey is actually from the 1990 All-Star game. After doing some research (check out this guy's pictures: here), it apparently could be from either the 1989, 1990, 1991 or 1993. All-Star games. I have no idea which, so I guess it's up to you to decide. Perhaps you could just tell your friends that you own all four and just wear this one every day.

First Post!

This site is basically for me. I want to archive all of my transactions that I conduct on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, and whatever else I can sell stuff on. I will expand this section later. I stole this layout from firejoemorgan.com, which is my favorite blog ever. Layout-wise, I like it's simplicity and lack of cluttering images.

Each post will be this: a run-down of the auction, the description I used, any edits I made later, and a link to a screenshot of the auction. I'll probably post tips/notes later, too. I dunno, pretty much anything I think of in relation to online transactions will be posted here.

A fair warning: this blog will be boring and a huge waste of time.
